Karen B.
Greetings! In my community tank, I squish my pest snails and let them fall to the ground - my corydoras go crazy for them! I adopted a betta a week ago. There was a pest snail and I squished it and the betta swam super quick to eat it. He had a blast, shaking around to break the pieces, etc. So I was wondering if it’s ok to let him have a pest snail here and there? I try to squish it really good so the shell doesn’t hurt his stomach. Thank you!
Keeg
Ive done with with no negative repercussions, I even had a betta that would eat freshly hatched baby snails. He did great! But kind of ruined the population on snails in my snail tank.
Guppysnail
My guppies (🐷’s) eat the my smallest bladders all the time. I’ve never had a problem.
Sarahfish
My betta also makes a quick bee-line immediately for squished snails. I make sure to peel off all the bits of shell. He seems to be doing fine so far.
