Brandon p
I use my camera to monitor fish behavior. The tank the camera is on now are fish that are new to me still in quarantine, also shy/ nocturnal. Sterbai Cory and L-333 Plecos. This tank was second and in the upper left you can see that it had Cuban cichlids in it. You can only see the writing on camera. The camera is just for me. It allows me to see their behaviors when I’m not 1 foot away. The camera is not very good and the tank is not clear. It has some scratches and staining but it does its job 4
Griznatch
Very cool, I've though of doing this but I want it in the water. That's still out of my budget range.
Brandon p
I had this camera left over from a project and was just sitting around, so I used it. I was having an issue with some of my discus and I used in there tank. When the l-333s’ I wanted to watch how they behaved. When the first 4 came in I was surprise how small they were. I can’t see them with that camera but the 3 others that came from someone different were way bigger than expected. So I can see some of their movement. I also has a night vision but it’s quality is worse. I’ll post some of the video in a while.

mountaintoppufferkeeper
I use the camera for the same purpose. For me it is great to go back and review after the fact for anything that occurs. Mine is as close to and within 12 inches of the tank so I can get some detail. My setup cost more for the SD card than the camera itself. It is used to monitor my special projects when they occur. I set motion detection parameters to monitor activity and alert me to behaviors I wouldn't otherwise see. I move the camera to whatever tank I want to watch. The SD card allows me to capture HD video and playback as needed when the motion clip indicates something fun happened. First Regani Dwarf pike (Crenicichla regani Rio tapajos) 22 day old fry on the cam Mekong River Puffer (Pao palustris) spawning behavior female in breeding colors displaying to male in his clay cave. Black Prince goodeid (Characodon audax El Toboso) eating peanut beetle larvae The African Mudfish colony IR illumination cruising their tank. 1
Brandon p
Looks great. I wish I could have my camera closer. It’s about 3 feet away. Like being able to see some of the loaches and other nocturnal animals in the tank. Very nice tanks.
Fonske
Four of our tanks (and one cage) have cameras permanently, the rest gets cameras when me and SO are away from home for a week or longer. None of our fish is shy or nocturnal, their cameras are mostly for fun and for monitoring the equipment (wifi power plugs help with that too).
