Guppysnail Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 That’s awesome! Mine are pigs and bullies. All 11 front and center chasing guppies away from food stealing wafers right out of snail mouths 🤣 1

I wonder if it’s the temp. 77F. 1

JettsPapa Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 I was excited last night when I saw 6 of the 9 Corydoras trilineatus in my heavily planted 40 gallon breeder tank.
Atitagain Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 @Patrick_G obviously they were there for the Bigfoot, alien, and Cory annual get together. I have 20 dwarf habrosus in a 55G thick vallisneria tank never see more than 3-4 together wait not together just to see them at same time.

Yup. An amano shrimp will grab a Hikari wafer and carry it away. I feed these: https://www.aquariumcoop.com/collections/fish-food/products/xtreme-cat-scrapers-sinking-wafer sometimes. They're too large for them to handle.
eatyourpeas Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 I feed mine Hikari Sinking Wafers and Hikari Cichlid Gold pellets but I crush them a little before feeding, therefore there are smaller bits for the Amano bandits to feel they got the loot and let everyone else be about their feeding business. 🤪 1
tnnlynch Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 My Sterbai are fearless and hang out in the front of the tank. They are non stop eaters of everything. I break up the algae wafers and snello into small portions and scatter around so the snails and my cowardly amano shrimp get some. My danios and cherry barbs mostly hide in the plants and behind my large rock unless it's feeding time.
mommygourami Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 These 2 have been playing in the bubble wall for hours. It's like a synchronized swimming routine. 1 1
B1gJ4k3 Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 I have the hardest time telling if mine are even eating. I try to feed enough so that some of the flakes get down to them. I also feed them a mix of Hikari Sinking Wafers and Omega One Catfish Pellets, but they don't seem overly interested in either of them. They'll swim in the vicinity of them, but it's hard to tell if they're getting anything, especially since all my platies and tetras swarm that area soon after. They must be getting fed somehow if they're continuing to grow, though (albeit slowly)
