WhiteShadow
I know that aquarium coop recommends and sells the Ziss brine shrimp hatchery. I would totally but one if I had room for it. I am wondering if anyone can recommend a smaller hatchery setup. I have a 30gal and a 10gal aquarium and very little room for a hatchery setup. I would probably never need to hatch more than a quarter teaspoon at a time. It seems that when I see someone using the ziss hatcher it is mounted on a wall or something. If I used the base that it comes with it is still taking up a lot of real estate. Is there one that only uses like a couple cups of water and has a way smaller footprint? anewbie
shrimpdirect has this nifty little dish - here is the link on amazon: https://amazon.com/Brine-Shrimp-Hatchery-Dish-Separately/dp/B08KRZT369/ref=sr_1_2 It comes with enough eggs for a year. Just place a lamp next to it and wait 24 hours. Remember bbs is only good for the fishes for about 36 hours after they hatch. lefty o
if you search through the co-op video's there are scenes of deans old home made hatchery made out of water bottles. pretty simple to make yourself. i know ive seen some examples others have made on this site too.
StevesFishTanks
I think the co-op sells the soda bottle base brine shrimp hatcher. It lets you screw in a soda bottle upside down. I tried to find it on their site but couldnt. maybe they only sell the ziss now. I would still recommend the ziss hatchery and just filling it with less water
