EeyoreHeeHaw
I've been treating for parasites for a week now and my 3 guppies and 1 molly have what looks to be a worm coming out of the gills, mouth, rectum, and the base of some fins. I'm using PraziPro liquid concentrate. Any ideas on what the parasite maybe? The two guppies in the picture are the ones who have it the worst. Odd Duck
That looks like anchor worm which (I think) is tricky to treat. I see salt baths and some harder to get meds or physical removal. It has a complicated life cycle but there is a free swimming stage vulnerable to UV, so if you happen to have a UV filter, start it running as soon as possible until you can get some of the meds to treat it. There’s a “fish lice and anchor worm” treatment that sounds like the best treatment.
Mmiller2001
Agree, these are real annoying. Look for Dimilin to treat this.
