Sey33
Was interested in keeping these fish, but information is quite varied. Wonder if anyone has kept them?
OnlyGenusCaps
There are a number of species that go by the name "dwarf goby" in both fresh and saltwater environments. Are you referring to one of the Stiphodon or Rhinogobius species, perhaps? Just trying to pin down what you are looking at.
Sey33
Stiphodon Atropupureus, is the one I'm looking at. It's in on flip aquatics website. I believe it's freshwater fish. Edited August 26, 2021 by Sey33

I know someone who keeps them, but hopefully there will be some one here with direct experience who will reply to this thread. From by second hand understanding, the only trick to keeping them is that they are more algae/periphyton eaters than say, the Rhinogobius species, which I have direct experience with. So I've been told not to add them to too clean of a tank, e.g. a new tank, without enough algae. Otherwise they should be pretty straight forward. Again from what I have been told. I do know they would be challenging to breed, if at all possible, in a home setting. If that is your goal some of the Rhinogobius species would be better. That what I have the latter as opposed to the former. Good luck!
