Pizzafan
My amanos are like vultures for sinking foods I drop for my Kuhli loaches and Bolivian ram- they will take foods that are equal to them in weight and perch on a leaf somewhere so the others can’t get to it. anybody else have this problem, and ideas to keep them away? lefty o
amano's have little shame when it comes to taking food. only thing to do is make sure they get some food to keep them busy while you feed the loaches.

I've never kept Amano shrimp but from what I have read that is normal.
Griznatch
LOL, mine do the same. They will grab whatever they can carry (which is considerable), and then bolt off somewhere. Usually a higher elevation, and then spend like the next half an hour doing that with nibbles in between.
Patrick_G
I have one that will swim up to the top to eat from my hand!

eatyourpeas
That can be a dictionary definition of Amano. They are greedy, but fun! Just feed them first so they get entertained and not steal food from other critters.
NanoNano
Totally normal behavior for Amanos...They pretty much have the social skills and cajones of the Seagulls that you encounter at an oceanside boardwalk.
