I'll be honest and say Im experiencing Marvel Universe fatigue, but man I sure am looking forward to Shang-Chi (love the actor from Kim's Convenience) !   The new Spiderman trailer looks promising too.

For myself, I think Into the Spiderverse was one of their most remarkable achievements.

And I’m hoping Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (Mr Kim) gets some screen time as a rebel fighter pilot in the Rogue One spin off show.

He's so great.  Actually that show just has excellent casting in general.

I was always a DC comics fan growing up…I mean Batman come on …who doesn’t like Batman!! For the record ..Christian Bale has been the best Batman EVER!!! PERIOD!

But the DC movies are just a complete let down compared to what Marvel has accomplished.  A marvel movie has become a staple in my house at least once a week!
Them + my fish = Happiness!!

Yeah, I was die hard DC fan when I was a kid, but then X-Men got on my radar in the 90s and then the Iron man movie sealed the deal. Now I’m about 60/40 Marvel/DC. My DC consumption is mostly the Arrowverse on the CW.

I changed the thread title to be more inclusive.

I recently re-watched the Dark Knight trilogy and a number of other Christopher Nolan movies, and I noticed something really interesting. Besides tubes for blood infusion, he doesn’t seem to show blood on screen. Maybe there are scenes with bandages, but I’m not sure. I also haven’t seen Dunkirk.

That trilogy is almost perfect, and I love it that he left us with the idea that Robin would be the next Batman. I used to want another movie, but I’m okay with the the feeling I got when that platform rose, and it faded to black.

That trilogy exists in a world without aliens, magic, or superpowers, which is quite special.

I bet most folks reading this thread will already know but Doom Patrol season 3 comes out next Thursday

I need to watch that. I just watched the first two seasons of Titans and caught up on the third. Doom Patrol is on my list for this week.

I’d say it’s better than Titans but it’s hard to choose, they’re very different. There’s a ton more dark comedy in Doom Patrol. Brenden Fraser is funny as Cliff.

I grew up mostly a DC fan.  My favorite comic growing up was the Legion of Super-Heroes, who get a little play time in the Supergirl CW series.   I've struggled to get through most of the CW shows, I'm still sticking with Arrow, Supergirl, and DC Legends so far.   I'm a big fan of Stargirl, and its probably my favorite super-hero TV series.
The DC movies have been very dark in recent times, of course to me nothing tops Christopher Reeves' Superman, but I loved the first Wonder Woman movie, I really liked the Snyder Cut, and I mostly enjoyed Nolan's series too.  I also think that the Watchmen was a superb movie.

Marvel definitely owns the cinematic box office right now, and that has mostly translated to quality movies but I do think their material is wearing a bit thin.  (This is why I think Shang-Chi was a much needed breath of fresh air.)
I still prefer WB/DC's animated movies though, they are mostly all very well done.

For animated movies, I really enjoyed Batman: Year One, The Dark Night Returns, and Under the Red Hood. I need to watch The Long Halloween.

I enjoyed re-watching the black-and-white versions of Justice League, Logan, and Mad Max: Fury Road.

Doom Patrol is full of surprises, and I look forward to more.

Long Halloween was great!   I also recommend Superman Red Son.

CW tries, but turned off all of those shows. Supergirl started out good but eventually the plot lines got too dumb for me to stay on. Arrow got repetitive with secret history stories that made no real sense. Legends seemed dumb from the start. Never bothered with Stargirl. Flash was good for a few seasons but eventually that too lost interest. Their best run was back in the day with Smallville.

Arrow was always the weakest for me, too much flashback, too many "normal" criminals.    DC Legends has Brandon Routh, and had Firestorm which is why I started watching it.   Routh is just fantastic in my opinion.  Its definitely a lot less serious than the other CW shows.   I couldn't STAND Black Lightning (made it through 2 episodes) and I have zero interest in Batgirl.  We'll watch them on the crossovers.
Keep in mind I'm still behind in the Arrowverse, I'm on season 4 of Legends and Supergirl, Season 5 of the Flash.   So I may shut them all off at some point.

Edit:  I just realized I said I was sticking with Arrow, and I meant Flash.  We dropped Arrow this season because I just couldn't get through his prison nonsense.

We watched Smallville until the Lana becomes a vampire episode.   I was done at that point.   I still think it had the best Lex.

You’re still in the good part! Up to the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover it was great but  I started to lose interest after that.
