Zenith
Hello all! I need some assistance figuring out what has developed near my betta gill plates. Any and all advice would be appreciated so I can follow through researching any possibilities. Behaviorally, there is nothing out of the norm for my dragon plakat betta, and as such the ID I've gotten elsewhere as gill hyperplasia does not seem to fit the bill. Water parameters are dialed in and maintained well in the planted community. For reference, I now test with the coop strips. Tank is stable and has been running for six ish months, pH is ~8, Nitrates are <10ppm, GH is ~150, KH is ~120, and water temp is 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Thank you! Colu
It looks like a tumor or cyst they are really common in Bettas epsom salt bath 1 table spoon for 2 gallons for no more than 15 minutes 2-3 times a day will help reduce the fluid buildup if it's a cyst if it's a tumor treatment wise it weigh and see how it progresses if he still eating and has a good quality of life I leave him be and just monitor for now Edited August 17, 2021 by Colu
