I was born in Lemoore in the Central Valley and moved all over the place before moving to Los Angeles then the South Bay where my wife and I are raising our kids. Here's my oldest exploring the tide pools near Pacifica. Here's me exploring tide pools on Guam with my dad when I was a little kid. Raise your kids by a body of water if you can, folks!
