Patrick_G
We’re having a heat wave here in the PNW. We’re also getting some serious high altitude smoke from the wildfires and that’s blocking the sun a bit. My guppy tub is sitting at 79F, inside tanks are in the 78-80 range. I know some of the micro climates are much hotter. How are your fish doing?
Beardedbillygoat1975
My water lettuce is dying outside. Whiteclouds are staying strong. Indoor tanks having some algae but otherwise doing ok. The smoke is awful, feel like sinuses and headaches are just a part of the daily grind now.

My kid is sick with sinus and respiratory symptoms, she’s COVID negative so I’m thinking it’s from the smoke.

Biotope Biologist
No fish, but the plant friends are not happy. Definitely making my sinuses act up as well. Greenhouse for the mangroves got up to 100 and had some wilting, but they seem to be okay now that it's back down to 80.
eatyourpeas
Just getting the house down to 81F, running fans with MERV-13 furnace filters, not daring to go out. Garden looks parched.😞 Planning on WC on all FW tanks tomorrow to mitigate the nasties from the last two days. All lights were off and I did not feed them (I am sure I will get "the look" tomorrow). So glad to have the chiller keep the SW tank stable. Only a little sweating on the lines, but the tank itself is clear, so the 1" thickness has paid off! Oh, and I can't breathe! Eyes hurt. Alternated between studio work, online gaming and tank checking to keep my mind off the misery. I hope you all feel better tomorrow.😵
eatyourpeas
Hoping everyone is doing better and enjoying the cooler temperatures. Cooling the house now that the air is breathable again!
