My name is Nathen (20yo). I’m currently living in Florida and have a pretty interesting occupation that some of y’all might not like. My family and I run a fish spa experience with Garra Rufa fish in 12 different tanks (about 44 gal. each). We opened up in November (2020) not knowing anything about aquariums, but have learned a lot since then and still are learning. I just have one issue i’m struggling with right now that needs attention. Whenever I add Pond Prime to my tanks the ph lowers a lot. I searched up to try and find something related to that but I found nothing. If y’all have any questions regarding the health of the fish let me know I’m an open book. We take great care of our fish and really treat them like our babies haha.

Welcome to the forum you could add a small amount of crushed coral in a media bag to your tanks to help buffer your water to provent pH swings

@NathenOInteresting. I have heard of clinics using those "doctor" fish to remove dead skin cells from people. I have no issue with it, I'm just more curious than anything about the setup of a place like that. Like what are the issues you have to deal with, if any,  that a normal aquarist wouldn't. I imagine people have clean lower legs before they are allowed to dip in the tanks.

Ohhh one time I was sitting by a stream in upstate NY and a bunch of little fish came and nibbled at my feet! It was so cute and relaxing! I think a fish spa sounds wonderful. I’d love to hear more about your setup!
