They remind me of Cory, and they put their money where there mouth is. When they discovered the uptick in suicides during the pandemic due to social isolation, they contacted a global network of mental health workers and PAID for a huge number of hours (some of us volunteered our hours) to be used by anyone who said they needed it. The Simpsons introduced me to Hopparen by Chateau Neuf. The Christian Borlaug version of Fanitullen on the Hardanger fiddle (Hardingfele) is a favorite. I think my favorite fiddle player right now is Harald Haugaard. Here is is as a young player with guitarist Morten Høirup, but it is Harald's fiddle that is the star here. Now we do tv concerts every weekend. We just watched Styx and the Contemporary Youth Orchestra in Cleveland The pure fun and joy radiated through the TV. Half these guys were in my first wedding in 1990, and I have stayed in touch with Steve (he's The Godfather to twin niblings).... so to cheer me up after learning one of my heroes has a major flaw I wasn't expecting, I've been going through my YouTube collection of their songs (all my original vinyls with Danny Gallant's artwork were destroyed in the housefire....)
