Apistogramma trifasciata are smaller, 1-3 m-f ratio. You could do some embers 5-7 as dithers. After it’s done well and gets established you could do some otos.
Sparkling or croaking gouramis as someone said are an outstanding fish, can do 3-5, may have to reduce numbers if males get territorial.
Dwarf blue eye rainbows are great - Pseudomeugil gertrudae, luminatus, etc You could do 1-3 males and 3-5 females. Kuhli loaches are great bottom dwellers, some of the species tend to stay on the smaller size. Love any of the Pygmy corys, 2 for 1 in that they’ll school/shoal with other fish and stir up the substrate as well. 792C08D3-7D2E-4527-9ABB-4F9E2C1492E0.jpeg.c00bfaa5d6497e5f8e9a03d80acb987e.jpeg392A9B11-AD02-4AC1-9E48-221862089FF2.jpeg.0a8cf730663f5f9c50de4704b5cdab61.jpeg
