Beardedbillygoat1975
The black diamonds have a glossy like a pair of patent leather shoes freshly shined appearance. You definitely have a black shrimp but photo doesn’t tell me much to help grade it. My skittles tanks have thrown black shrimps in the past. Carl-N-Kim
Thank you I will try to get a better updated picture but the only thing I have in my tank right now is peppermint and red cherry shrimp don't know where that one came from
Beardedbillygoat1975
Cherry shrimp will throw other colors - yellow, orange, blue, snowballs and black shrimp all came from cherry’s originally. They’ve been line bred to throw more consistent colors. Low Grade cherry shrimp tend to throw more wild types and color morphs.
CT_
is black good? for whatever reason my first batch of young came out red, brown, blue and black. I put about 10 black and 20 brown in my cull tank (aka grow out tank aka qt tank ) which had a "mysterious" die off. Ever since then everything has been blue... I've just learned that fact.. my Bloody Mary's threw just about all translucent orange shrimp-lets and even some albino's. This happened on the 1st generation. It worked this way with my kids too, I thought they would all look the same and they don't!

Guppysnail
I adore the wild color ones mine produce. Many start looking black as juveniles but as they molt they turn the wild coloring browns by adulthood.
