my charlie mint is flowering

this is charlie mint i had in an aquarium previously and converted it to partially submerged, partially emersed. it is vining like crazy but it has also started flowering! ive never had this plant flower before.

this is the nano pond style tank i have going with shrimp and juvenile daisy ricefish

Foo the Flowerhorn gave me this itch with all of the plants that were stuck inside the sweet potato betta tank and reading through this post makes me want it even more. I feel like I may have to try this on my 50g since there are some decent-sized gaps in the lid that I could possibly fit a small plant into.

thank you! it is my least care intensive tank i have, 20% water change every 2 weeks, i top off inbetween with distilled water. ferts whenever i remember to put them in. i think the simplicity is what makes it so rewarding.

@Alexa i have the substrate piled higher in the back. there is about 3-4” of submersed growth under the water. the substrate is 50/50 fluval stratum and fluorite dark with the plants just planted directly in. these specific plants really do well with a substrate from my experience.
