I have the 14 gallon version of the Aqueon cube and I really like it. The construction is a little sloppy like all Aqueon stuff, but it hasn't leaked or anything so far so I'm happy. The good thing about the 6 gallon size is that it will probably be less awkward to set up lighting for, with mine the stock mount for the Fluval Nano doesnt quiiiiittteeee reach where I would ideally like it.

One of my LFS carriers a manufacturer called aquarium masters. Economical but well done, they also use black silicone with a skilled hand. I really enjoy it.

Aqueon is sloppy. Even my 6 foot 150 was sloppy. But I’ve never had one leak

Yeah, I feel like the cubes look better with a medallion style light, but the few of those there are that are made for freshwater are built with a smaller size tank in mind.

now I want to go out and get more tanks...who doesn't love a great sale!! 🙂

Do it and make sure you have the app. If you spend more than 60 bucks they will give you 20 dollars off at the register

well...not why I wanted to grab another tank, but my 10g quarantine sprung a leak...my poor honey gourami and pygmy corys had to deal with coming home yesterday and then being transferred into a different tank today...seem to be doing ok though...I have no idea what happened...that tank has had water in it for a month with no issues...ugh...oh well...at least there was a sale 🙂

I started with one of the 3- gallon cube tanks from petco.  It's a nice looking little tank.  Now I have an aqueon 5.5 gallon that has the bottom rim but not the top.  Just make sure the lid supports are correct.  Mine weren't and I had to contact aqueon to get a new set.

I had a Betta with live plants in the 3-gallon.  Not knowing how to keep a planted tank balanced, I had algae problems eventually.  Switching the light to finnex planted plus clip is what caused the issues along with following Seachem's fertilizer schedule.IMG_20200706_171914608.jpg.f8110254993bfc643044d8f3795c8abc.jpgIMG_20201005_124141814.jpg.a879c82fa178e22088e7008dc2427cb4.jpg

My current tank is the "rimless" 5.5-gallon from Aqueon.  It still has the bottom rim.  Honestly, it looks nice but if I was going to do it again, I would probably get a tank with a rim.  My water is hard and the rim would hide the mineral deposits.
