Chicken feed for shrimp?

Has anyone tried giving chicken feed to shrimp? Laying hen food seems to have pretty similar ingredients to shrimp food, since hens need calcium for eggs as well as some protein. I happen to have access to a lot of it and am tempted to drop in a pellet to see if the shrimp like it

I would put 1-2 shrimp in a separate container and feed and watch to see what grows film gunk etc as well as see what it does to water quality and if the shrimp survive before I put it in a tank.
