SoCal_Tara
I bought a few plants from my LFS and found these worms in the sink during the H2O2 soak. Worms are a new one for me. Any info is appreciated.
Biotope Biologist
Appears to be a detritus worm, They just live off decaying matter and left over food in the tank
Bobbie
Yeah, detritus worms are usually your friend - they clean the tank and fish eat them
HH Morant
The detritus worms I have seen are very thin and white, and they were swimming. There are probably other species of detritus worms, but that does not look like the detritus worms I am familiar with.
Biotope Biologist
Detritus worm is just a catch-all term. It refers to about 15-20 different species of segmented annelids. The most common being tubifex. Without a microscope it'd be impossible to speciate them.
Guppysnail
Markings resemble California blackworm. Heres a pic so you can see and compare
