Added Another Light

I’m been contemplating adding another light to my 75 for a few months. The tank had been algae free with the single light and I know I’m risking the balance, but I think my new substrate level plants need the extra light.

I did end up with the second light. Now it’s a waiting game on my unwanted algae.

if the fish start sporting shades, you've gone too far. looks good. i like brightly lit tanks, sadly so does algae.

I can always add more plants to compensate.

@Mmiller2001,  I’m trying the Micro Sword as a foreground carpet. Do you think the second Nicrew light will be enough? The plants are a full 20” from the light.

I had no luck with Micro Sword and gave up. So it's hard to say. I've read 40par is enough for most medium to high demand plants. Do you know the par for that model?

It’s a 30 watt so my guess is about 1/2 the par of a Fluval 3.0 on Max.
