So these particular Xenotoca Doadrioi may, for all I know, be completely gone to their home waters in Mexico. They are on the CARES list.

I started with exactly 8 back before Christmas, 2020. Now... I just found more fry (note trophotaenia) probably dropped by this momma today

They're prolific and sassy little buggers. Of all the Goodeids Xenotoca doadrioi so far have been my favorite. Zoogoneticus tequilas come in a close second. That dark smokey gray color the males get is fabulous. I am trying Ameca splendens outdoors this year and so far, they have done well. I'd love to get my hands on some Skiffia multipunctata and Xenotoca variata at some point.
