Skinny guppy and white stringy poop

Hi i got one of my guppy is skinny and i see a baby guppy have white poop is that internal parsec?

What are your water parameters are they eating ok have you added anything new to there tank resently and can you take apicture of the sick fish

nitirite 0, ammonia, 0 ph around 7.3 and nitrate 20

 

yes i added some new guppy in it. brought it from local breeder and say its healthly. i guess its not healthy at all. =(

Do you use salt? I recommend API freshwater aquarium salt. Most fish stores will have it. An amazon link is below. I only use it when I have a sick fish though. Some stores always keep it in their guppy tanks, and it drives me crazy. It makes the fish harder to acclimate. Use it until the problem is gone, and then do a 20%-30% water change.

This has happened to my fish before, and I am pretty sure it is a bacterial infection. Luckily, it is pretty easy to cure and I wouldn’t worry about it unless it’s behavior changes.

I would be suspicious of internal parasites I would treat with paracleanse I would do two courses two weeks a part you can add aquarium salt as @Guppyguy suggest I would go with 1 table spoon for 2 gallons that will cover all bases

EDIT: also, contact your breeder. If he breeds guppy’s, he must have experience so he might be able to help.

Healthy is conditional.  In his setup it probably was. Most fish carry bacteria and parasites to some degree and are no worse for it never show it and live full healthy lives.  Their immune system is built to tolerate it.  Add stress..moving it..and the immune system is immediately compromised allowing the parasite or bacteria to flourish and take control.

ok i just changed my tank water and dosed paracleanse and aquarium salt. i was wondering do levimose works with paracleanse?

I wouldn't use paracleanse and levamisole together

How much water did you change at once? I would make 40-50% the max to change at any given time, as that can be a stress factor in itself.

 don't feed for a couple of days it helps them pass the parasites more easily

so i started feeding my guppy again one of them dont want to eat them, it eat and then split it out. should i try other fish food or it still have parasite in it?

I would try some frozen blood worms or brine shrimp or live foods to in encourage them to eat

heres an update, the skinny guppy started eatting the frozen blood worm now. i see that some of the male guppy is fat belly. should i throw in some espom salt to help it? another thing is i see a white stingy poop on a java moss when shouuld i dose paracleasne again?

Re dose paracleanse 2 weeks after your Frist treatment and you could add some epsom salt  1 table spoon for 2 gallons for now

Im bvery sorry for your loss. Im not an expert but i would.  You may also want to try levamisole as you may be dealing with something paracleanse doesn't work for. .

I would try Levamisole if paracleanse isn't doing it. Two or three rounds, one week apart -- (follow EXPEL-P's directions) OR use Greg Sage's dosage guide if you bought from him.

Sorry he didn't make if paracleanse hasn't worked I would definitely treat with levamisole  as @Guppysnailand@laritheloudhave suggest you can get it from select aquatics

Remember that your Guppy came from very warm waters in S. America. Raise your temp to somewhere between 81 and 83 degrees and keep it there. Keeping your tanks' temp in this range will eliminate most tropical fish diseases, including parasites. Try it, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

oky im using EXPEL-P right now and i see that one of the guppy have some white puffy stuff at the anal do any1 know how to  treat that?
