Ich Treatment mishap

Hello,

I recently got 4 new ember tetras to ass to my original 9. They got Ich after their first day in the tank (bought them from a different store than usual and didn't quarantine 😞 ). I treated for ich with Ich-X per instructions from Cory's videos and did my first dose today. It is a 16 gallon and I accidentally dosed for 20 gallons. I immediately did a 10% water change to remove some of the extra ich-x. Should I do anything else? or just wait and make sure I have the correct dosage tomorrow?

No worries! Dosing 25% more is very unlikely to cause any harm. Continue with the correct dosage tomorrow.

Thank you! This is my first time treating ich. And my Kuhlis and Ottos are going crazy which worried me alittle. Not sure what “normal” behavior is when it comes to medicating fish.

Did you raise the temp as well? Doing vacation greatly speeds up the curing, but ur basically  giving  the fish a fever in a sense. Also I believe  all meds stress fish a bit.

I raised it to 82 from 80 Since I also have a few shrimp in the tank.
