DannyBWell
I've heard Cory say in Livestreams that he's used mineral oil in bubble counters to stop evaporation does anyone have experience with this. I've googled this topic and found a couple of results and seems like there are issues with it clogging check valves and people seem to run multiple check valves. Does this actually work not that I doubt Cory I'm just a bit worried on trying with my own tank.
Daniel
In the past I always used mineral oil in my bubble counters. I never had any problems.

Is it normal that some mineral oil is traveling up the co2 tube about halfway to the check valve and then the bubble pops and it drips down? I don't remember that happening. There wasn't the pressure to do that.

So odd I think I'm going to accept defeat and go back to water I've been watching it for about 20 minutes now and it's getting too close to the check valve for my comfort. I've got 7 different regulators with a total of 19 bubble counters on them and have used nothing but mineral oil in them for going on 9-10 yrs and have never had a problem with the mineral oil migrating up the line towards the check valves, ever!! Not even sure how that would be possible unless I cranked the regulator up and turned the needle valve wide open! I can see it happening if some knucklehead filled the bubble counter way to full with mineral oil to where the bubbles had nowhere to POP and so the oil was forced up into the line. If you leave the proper "head" space in the bubble counter vile, like I said, I don't see how it would be possible for the oil to migrate up into the line.
