GardenStateGoldfish
MTS the snail are fantastic! almost the most beneficial thing you can add to your tank, behind plants. MTS the other kind... well, if you live alone or have an understanding partner, your fine, but if your don't..... Aquarium Anonymous is always an option. 1

Patrick_G
MTS spontaneously appeared in my 11g and I’m loving them. I’m not sure why these guys are considered a pest snail.
GameCzar
Don't have any yet, but I haven't met a snail yet I didn't love. 2

Tanked
Are there varieties of MTS? After looking at these photos, I took a quick trip down the research rabbit hole looking for other pest trumpet snails. MTS were the only ones I found. The MTS in my planted tank never grow to the size or coloration in the photos here.

Mine are pretty worn down due to scraping through Eco complete and struggling with soft water.
Randall from Texas
I let them go crazy, keeps the fish poop cleaned off of everything. How does that geo like living with discus?

How does that geo like living with discus? Geo does alright. There were two, and they went berserk (hit spawning age / size) so I moved one out. This Geo ate all my cardinals in here last year. I think the discus aren’t pairing off because the Geo is tank boss. I need to move both Threadfin Acaras along... they really need more space.
