Dwarf sag blooming?

I have a large outdoor pond-ish tub that I use to grow out plant trimmings and propagate plants I want to add to my tanks. Anyways, I let the dogs out to do their business and found two flowers at the surface of the water, but was unaware of any plants I have in there that would do that. It looks like Dwarf Sag is the source though. Is this common? I've never seen such a thing.

Fascinating. I wonder if they're related. I mean, from appearance alone it's almost hard to tell low light dwarf sag from vals.

I have never keeped dwarf sag so am not sure if they related call mine flower once a year it must be a seasonal thing

Also strange, since I've never seen any of mine flower in my tanks. They grow nice and compact like a carpet and have pretty high light and CO2. I wonder if being cold over the winter and the change in the photoperiod triggered flowering in my outdoor plants...

Looks like a dwarf sag flower. I had one flower in my tank earlier this spring, and that's what it looked like.
