Horrorshow_Georgia Posted June 15, 2021 Posted June 15, 2021 Hi @Cory, hi Nerms! I want to thank you for creating this great community and helping make the hobby better. I was hospitalized last September due to a suicide attempt. When I finally was able to come home, I was sober and emotionally raw and watching coop videos gave me a safe space to retreat to and motivated me to become a better fishkeeper. I built a pond this spring and followed your video to make a bucket filter for it! I know this is sappy or maybe TMI, but I want you to know that your channel is a bright spot for someone who spent a decade in a dark, dark place. 1
HonourWest Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Welcome to the forum! I'm sorry to hear that you've had such a rough time. Hopefully the fishkeeping hobby will remain a point of positive focus in your life. 🙂 A pond sounds like a lot of fun. What are you planning to keep in it? 1
Horrorshow_Georgia Posted June 18, 2021 Author Posted June 18, 2021 @HonourWest Thank you! I have ramshorn snails, pond snails, and a few comets (feeder goldfish). The goldfish are so fun and they'll eat out of my hand. I also have water hyacinth, water lettuce, salvinia, a water lily, and duckweed! 2
