Struggle
The noise from the air going into the brine shrimp hatcheries is really getting on my nerves. I’m drawing blanks on how to quiet them down short of putting them into a cabinet. I’m to the point of only running them a few times a week so that I can enjoy being in the fish room, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Matthew
I have my air pump for my brine hatchery sitting on top of a cloth mouse pad. That reduced most of the noise in my case.
Administrators Cory Posted September 18, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 18, 2020 What hatchery? I use the usb air pump hanging and they run quiet.
Struggle
Sorry for not being clear, the pump is a linear piston air pump that is installed in a closet and running about 17 or so sponge filters. It’s not the pump causing the issue but the air being dispersed into the hatcheries. The best way I can think to describe it is a old hot rod that has the idle turned up really fast. Come to think of it I may need to shorten the rigid airline so that it doesn’t touch / press into the bottom of the hatchery and see if that helps.
