Food for an oto that a betta won't eat?

I got some random algae based food to feed to my oto (right now it's only having algae, and occasionally cucumber and spinach). He didn't even get to taste it before my shrimp and betta completely devoured all of it, which led to overfeeding the betta.

I'm now looking for a replacement for this food, hoping there's a product available for international shipping with 100% veggie contents. I found something I can get locally called 'JBL Spirulina' but unfortunately it contains about 12% fish ingredients, and I'm afraid that's still too much of it so my betta will see it as food as well.

I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a product based on experience? Is it safe to just get spirulina supplement tablets you can find in iHerb and feed it to my fish?

I don’t know about otos but I spread repashy or a homemade version of spirulina powder and agar on large river rocks for my nieces Bristlenose when I was fostering her tank during her move. Her Betta ate everything and wouldn’t let the BN near it. Dr. Tim’s makes fish spirulina powder

Try some Repashy Soilent Green gel food. It tends to sink (unless frozen) and you can cut it into small pieces and place it in several areas around the tank to distract would-be food thieves while your otos eat. It does contain soldier fly larvae so your other livestock will probably go after it, too, but it's not going to hurt them and it contains enough roughage that your betta won't get constipated eating it.

When I had otocinclus they loved zucchini. I just sliced it up, blanched it slightly and stocked my freezer with a few ziplock bags of it. Make sure to get the organic kind or cut off the peel to avoid any pesticides. Weekly I would put 2 or 3 slices of thawed out zucchini in the tank. It sinks to the bottom easily. The other fish would eat it too but my betta didn't seem interested. I hope you find something that works well with your community tank. Otocinclus are fun little guys to have.
