Drew Schmidt Posted June 5, 2021 Share Posted June 5, 2021 (edited) I went fishing and found a slow part of the river. The amount of fry snails daphnia scuds and other critters was impressive. It was all feeding off of 8 inches of mulm. Really let's you know that your tank doesn't have to be spotless. BUT, what you are saying is very true! Nature is not sterile, and often breaks the rules we like to place on it. It's always an awesome experience to have that reminder.
