AJE
What is this? Is it just a weird leg or a parasite? Never seen this before
NeoNerd
Hi, have you seen it moving in a "non-leg" way? If so, then it might be a parasite (perhaps Holtodrilus Truncates?) that you make quick work out of with a salt bath which won't hurt the shrimp. Method I use below. Coop sells Fritz aquarium salt if you need some. Salt Bath Method: Take 1 tablespoon of salt and add it to 1 – 5 cups of aquarium water. Dissolve the salt in the water by stirring it. When it is completely dissolved, take the infected shrimp out of your tank and put it into the cup for about 30-60 seconds.Note: Due to the size of the worms it is easy to see all of them fall off the shrimp, and it happens in less than a minute. Then remove the shrimp and put it back in your aquarium.
AJE
I don't think I've seen it move at all.It doesn't seem to bother the shrimp. I'll try that treatment method if I find the shrimp
