Air Pumps Recommendations for several tanks.

Hi all 😁

I'm curious about possibly using 1 or 2 air pumps for several tanks since I'm  rearranging my tanks and adding another 40g.   I have a corner with a 29, 15, the new 40 and a couple 10s.

I run aquaclear hobs with 1 or 2 sponge filters and/or airstones and hang-on back breeders.

Looking for ideas/recommendations instead of having 1 per 1 or 2 tanks as I do now.

I have a Hygger duel outlet pump rated for 20-600 gallons that I’ve been using for a similar setup. It’s been pretty quiet and no problems to speak of so far. It’s nice having the dial to adjust the outputs. I try to future proof as I build and this pump should work for future expansion until I need to make the jump to a linear piston pump.

Thanks. I was looking for brands more-or-less and size. I use gang values now to run sponges with the previous mentioned stuff.  I'd approximately be running about 10 things on it

Yeah I have gang valves but what are better air pumps ? I would be using gang valves for the 2 larger tanks plus 3 to 4 smaller. Figure 10 to 12 lines total

I’d suggest you get a couple metal gang valves from Co-Op and Co-Op airline. Get a strong pump with two outputs. There’s a few models of taller pumps that seem to work well for us of late.

Yeah I use gang valves. I need pump recommendations

You could check into the linear piston air pump that Aquarium Co-Op sells.  It is a bit pricy but oh so worth it.  I recently got to see one in action ....it is very quiet and puts out a ton of air. The one pump was running all of his tanks and he had plenty of air to spare for when he keeps on adding.

Hope this helps some.  Good luck
