Mengo
There is something on my cory's dorsal fin. Is this an injury that will heal by itself or is this something else that I have to treat. Thanks Parameters: Nitrate: Around 20ppm Nitrite: 0 GH:300ppm Chlorine: 0 KH:80ppm pH: 6.

I didn't do anything to combat it and it went away. But I think it had something to do with their diet. What do you feed them?

Hmm those don't look like they would cause any problems. Then it's probably not food. Maybe try adding stress coat? After a few months my cories had it go away with miminal stress coat additions during water changes. I don't know if it helps, but it might be worth replicating.

I don't have stress coat but this happened to me before with 2 other cories and they healed pretty quickly. This is the third time and I still don't know what exactly this is. Ik the cory will heal but I need to know what this is so i can prevent it.

But yeah I know it's not life threatening to them, and creates minimal if any stress. Ever since I've moved them to the 29 gallon they haven't had it at all either. Well, good luck with yours!
sudofish
Looks like a cyst. I don't know the rules for linking other sites but if you google "corydora zit on dorsal" it comes up with interesting stuff. I haven't found anything definite but several bacterial infections can look like that according to what I was reading.

I haven't found anything definite but several bacterial infections can look like that according to what I was reading. found something on another forum. someone said it is pretty common and is just a "seen secretion of fat / protein (strangely mostly in C.aeneus). It will go on its own. Maybe a slight change of diet." @CorydorasEthan so maybe you are partly right with the diet thing. I did just include the bug bites a few weeks ago. This is only if it is from the back of the dorsal fin though, if it appears any where else this may not be true.
