ND1990
I am switching my 125 gallon stock up. I will be keeping some 5 Red Neon eye rainbow fish and 3 honey Gouramis. I now have a pair of german blue rams, getting another pair of golds this time unless it would be a problem? Then I figured he a pair of apistogramma? It is very heavily planted and have 2 pots on each side of the tank. Think the footprint is plenty big enough I’d assume, but I’m not to aware of the aggressive aside from some reading. tonyjuliano
You have room for many more fish, IMO.

Sorry, missed that, here’s my 2 cents... The Rams and Gouramis should play “nice” with each other, but an Apisto will likely harass them both to the point of exhaustion. Also, you may want to consider keeping your tank on the cooler side, warmer temps encourage mating behavior, which can lead to aggression.

I keep it at only 82, but I’m fully set up for breeding and prefer them too.
Patrick_G
I’d be considering some Sterbai Corydoras and some mid tank fish like Rummy Nose Tetras.

I had some Rummy nose in my 75 before upgrading they were great, but they out performed the rainbows for food and those are my mid/top currently. Yeah, I was thinking that might be the case. Maybe another school of Blue Eyed Rainbows but in another color?

I was just looking at that on AquaticArts.com they have a nice selection of rainbows Ivantoffs blue eye, pacific blue eye but Gertrude spotted blue eye looks the best. To bad the Co-op doesn’t have any.. Aquatic arts only does 1 day shipping which is very expensive.
ChemBob
I'd also keep on eye on Dan's Fish and Steenfott Aquatics (whenever he starts selling again).
