HisMineandOurs
I want to reorganize my 55 gallon tanks. I will need to pull plants. Is it ok to totally do a make over with the fish still in the tanks? Should I get something for them to calm them during the process?
H.K.Luterman
I have done rescapes with the fish still in the tanks. They'll be fine. Many of mine will take the opportunity to peck at any tasty bits I stir up during the process. The only time I have taken them out is when I want to change out the substrate and end up draining a large majority of the water. Here's a complete mess I made of my 40 breeder during the last rescape. I pulled up a HUGE amazon sword and removed a bunch of rock work. You can see my featherfin catfish in there. She just stayed out of my way for the most part, and then had fun exploring the new layout when I was done.
HisMineandOurs
Is there anything special I should do about the Kuli Loaches that I know are in there but they are hidden?
H.K.Luterman
I wouldn't think so. Just be careful when removing/moving things; move slowly and gently so they have time to get out of the way.
