jjmears
I have these two plants; I purchased them from Petco. They told me to just plop them in and they'd be fine. But some leave are turning yellow. I don't know what kind they are: Petco said they were amazon sword? How do I take care of them properly? They are encased in a ball of some sort, with Christmas moss around it. The roots are growing out of the balls at this point. If they are little Swords, you can remove the moss and plant the roots down in the substrate. Leave about a 1/4 inch of the root base up above the gravel. Put a root tab or two down in the substrate too by each. They really appreciate feeding on root tabs. Use Easy Green fertilizer. One squirt per 10 gals each week. Be aware that Swords do "melt back" and consumer their own leaves when putting out new ones. It's pretty normal to see regular die-off with them.
