Test Strip Reading

Hey so I just got the new test kits and was testing them out, super easy to use and read. Only problem is I can’t tell what the hardness is. It looks like it’s way over what the chart can read. So what do you all think it is?

Looks like 150-300 to me.

Oh ok. Thanks I thought it works like color wheel where brighter purple comes after dark purple

@AJE I think I’m with you on this one—I think the more purple it looks the higher the reading. So I think your strip reads over 300, but I’m curious if @Cory or someone else who helped with the development has time to confirm.

Typically outside of the color chart would be higher or lower. I think this is higher than 300.

Ohhhh ok, that makes since. Looked like it would be in between at first. But now I see how that works.

So what Im seeing in order is 0/0/300+/80/6.8/0. Is that what everyone else sees? Just want to make sure I'm reading these right.

I've been going through the forum and I've seen a few people with harder water have the same problem. Would it be possible to get the chart expanded to make it easier to read?

Yes. PH is between 6.8-7.2 around there

The test strips are pinkish purple (off the chart) for my GH, and the liquid test puts my water at 380 ppm. So they both match up in my experience.
