Harpsandfish
Good morning, all. I have a couple of large moon snail shells that would make great containers or surfaces for placing plants like anubias. What should I do to make them safe for the tank? I have had them for several years. Thanks!
GardenStateGoldfish
I just boil mine for a short while to make sure anything that may be inside or on it is boiled out/off. Since you had them for years you may just have to rinse off and not boil since obviously it doesnt have anything on them. But! Depending on your water, it will slowly dissolve into the water, if you didn't want this to happen, you would want to get like liquid rubber or a clear coating to protect it.
