Mychala
I have quite a bit of extra Java moss and other plant trimmings I don't want to throw away. If a local store or hobbyist wanted to buy some is there a dip I should do to get rid of any possible snails or algae. I wouldn't want anyone upset if something were accidentally introduced.... Gina French
Honestly not sure when it comes to Moss. But I do know that a bleach treatment, think its 1 part bleach to 3 parts water may work. I have also used a hydrogen peroxide dip too that has worked. I have never tried with moss though.
Mychala
I've used hydrogen peroxide treatments before on moss and not had any troubles, I don't think I dipped it but I could try on some since I have extra
Eclipse
Some mosses are very sensitive and will be killed by hydrogen peroxide so I would be careful with that. I accidentally killed some with a spot treatment. If you're selling plants, just put a disclaimer up that it may come with pests or a bit of algae. Most people are fine with that. I actually put my plants with algae into my shrimp tank and they go to town eating it all.
