Just noticed this on my platy who I had thought was pregnant. Acts very healthy. Have no idea how to treat if a worm. Anyone point me in the right direction? 20 gallon tank.   I do feed live mosquito larvae as a treat. New to tanking. Help and thanks ahead.

Just looks like a poop casing to me. I usually only see that when they've been fasted for a little while. She doesn't look skinny to me, but make sure she's getting her share of food at meal time. Her poops should get more food-colored the more she eats.

Oh what a relief. I also just noticed her rear end, can't think of name that indicates babies on the way, has become more pronounced.  She eats moves and acts normal. Thank you, relieved.

I think the term is "gravid spot." Good luck!
