Lynn
What is the best way to do water changes so I do not remove any of the fry?

Aquatic Journal
I take a regular siphon and put a fine net over the end and rubber band it. This will prevent any fry from getting through but I can still suck up mulm and finer particles.
pedrofisk
You can put a net or other foam filter material over the siphon tube, that's the easiest. Some people build a custom siphon out of PVC for this reason. Here is a photo of one I made from 1/2" pvc spare parts. The foam is the Aquarium Coop small pre-filter.
