Corydoras

Hey bought 4 dory's.one of them seems to hide and stay to himself,,,,,the others full of energy,,,,,,,had them in the tank over a month now

Are they all eating ok  and what are your water parameters also you have treat corys like tetras the more you have the more confident they will be less you have more likely they are to hide away

I have 4 Corys,and the three are super active and eating well,along with 12 neon tetras,2 glass suckers,red fire shrimp,,,,everything seams to be doing well,plants included.Just that sedated little cory,not sure,,,,,,,,,he is not co -mingling

It's difficult to no for sure he could be sick or just nervous try dropping in some frozen blood  worms and see if he comes out

ok really looking at that 1 Cory,,,,very white ,and might be blind.  Albino?

Is the albino cory a different color from the other three corydoras?

Albino corys, I have 4, are nearly blind. I think the best they can do is sense light and dark. They rely heavily on their sense of smell. They have scent organs/glands/spots on their barabels. (the little whiskers) They use those to hunt for food. Don't ever treat your tank with salt or salt based meds. They are incredibly sensitive to salt. I learned the hard way. They also spend a lot of time resting during the day. They will be more active at night. Which is not to say they wont be active during the day, but they can be lazy.

Well it died ,must have been ill from transport ,my other 3 are doing great.
