Using aquarium coop trio on tank with guppy fry (also why don't you feed them when on the trio?)

So I used the coop trio on Sunday.  Today I noticed the tank has a bunch of fry in it.  I know the fry need to eat pretty often.  Why does the instructions say to not feed the fish while doing the trio.  the tank is currently planted and the females have started nipping at each other.  There are only two females in there besides the fry.

The fry should be fine if you're tank is mature I have left fry for 2 weeks without food and they survived off algae and cyclops. I don't know why you can't feed them while dosing I feed my fish anyways.

It's to help stop ammonia spikes during treatment if have fry just reduced what your feeding if you feed twice a day feed them once a day

Yep, what @Colu said. A lot of meds require does over multiple days with no water changes during that time, so if you get an ammonia spike you’re in a pickle. Just take measures to keep the level of waste/extra food down.
