Is this some type of algae?

I've found a few of these in different spots in my tank. Some in my cabombas, some in my Christmas moss, and some floating on the surface. Sorry the pic is not too great

I think it is some kind of bladderwort. It is sometimes considered a pest in mosses. You should be able to remove it manually.

Riccia fluitans/crystalwort. If you can keep them tied down on a rock, they make a beautiful green puff ball. It's difficult to do as they have no roots and like to float up.

I started finding them after we put the Christmas moss in the tank. It looks cool
