howze01
I added root tabs to my new 65 gallon tank yesterday and this morning most of them are sticking out of the gravel. I saw a thread that mentioned poking a hole in the tab so they don’t float. I’ll try that but my question is, should I replace the the ones that popped up with new ones? If it matters, I just received and planted the plants yesterday. It was some crypts, an Amazon sword, octopus and Val. Thanks!
lefty o
i would not replace them. looks like just the empty gel cap floated up. to avoid that i really shove them in deep.
Administrators Cory Posted April 10, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 10, 2021 You'll be fine, the part you see is just the gel. As Lefty has stated. it's recommended to push them all the way to the bottom glass.
howze01
Thanks for the responses! I’ll make sure to try and push them in further next time. Also, I have to say Cory, you’ve gained a lifelong customer in me. I ordered the plants Wednesday and they were here in North Carolina before Friday afternoon. I’ll leave reviews for them once they settle in but they all looked great. Kudos to you and your staff for doing an amazing job!
