Hello, First time caller, long time listener! I got a bunch of Kuhli Loaches almost six months ago now and I noticed that one of them swam up to a bunch of Water Spirte that I have floating at the top. Just curious if this is a standard thing or something I should be monitor more closely? (Water parameters writhing good conditions) Thanks in advance!
I'm listening to @Cory on his livestream and he mentioned broad leaf water sprite as floating plant. I did a quick Google image search and it looks like it would be a great floating plant to create shadows. Can the plant experts here recommend some other pants that can create shadows? I want to set up a 40 gallon breeder with sparkling gourami and emerald eye rasbora and maybe some chili rasbora too. My main goal though is for the sparkling gourami and emerald eye rasbora to shimmer and pop as they pass through dark areas into areas that get more light.
I have a very healthy watersprite plant in my 55g that has spawned around 15 new plants. I took 2 of the 6-8" plants and moved them to a newish 10 gallon tank. It's been up for a month or so with 2 guppies in it. After a week the plants have just melted away. I've been adding 1oz of Flourish to the tank since I put them in there (I dose the main tank daily). I also added some Fritz 7 a few days ago to boost the bac. and increased the guppy count to 5. Same water source and the 10g has a bit of ammonia 0.25-0.5 I added the plants to help the water conditions. Any ideas on what could be the problem?
