  1. Hello all, I'm in the process of setting up a 20 gallon tank for shell dwellers (multis) and saw two products at my LFS; Cichlid Lake Salt and Tanganyika Buffer. I recently read the the Co-op's article on shell dwellers and it mentions using Wonder shells or Equilibrium to raise GH, but doesn't mention these two products. I'm also using CaribSea's African Cichlid Mix as a substrate. My questions for those of you who care for African Cichlids are: do you use these two products? Any reviews? Are they really necessary? Thanks,
  2. I was thinking about doing a 20 gallon with shell dwellers at the bottom and guppies at the top. Is it possible to combine African Cichlids with Community Fish like that? Would they still be able to breed? Has anyone tried out a similar combo?
  3. I'm thinking of starting a shell dweller tank in my college dorm, it'll be maybe a 20 long. What shelly would you all recommend to be maybe a fun breeding project? Multis? Something else?
  4. I have a 20gal cube that I was considering doing some (Lamprologus Ocellatus) shell dwellers in. I was looking around for something that might be a good top swimmer. I came across Cyprichromis Leptosoma Burundi that could be a possibility. Most of the information I’ve been finding seems to be kind of random with pertaining to different variations of Cyprichromis. Does anyone have experience with cyprichromis and know if they would be suitable for this setup? Also, does anyone have recommendations for other species that would work well with shell dwellers?
