Mine is the Pao cf palustris My puffer trio of 1 Male 2 Female produces however many eggs are in this cave every 14 days or so. With 50 to 75 makimg it to pulling size once the male removes any bad ones. When I choose to pull a portion of eggs out to breeder boxes I could end up with approximately 50 per new fry every month easily. Its more than I expected going in. Anyone else have other species that really fire off for them in numbers that you didnt expect to achieve initially? Which was the most surprising success? Im at the point with these guys where I can make the 50 puffers a month fairly easily if I had the space and chose to do so.

So, when I was a young boy and I purchased Black AngelFish I would get a black fish. Today I see people advertise black or double black or even double dark black angel fish. What you end up with is a grey or Smokey kind of looking fish. A while back I started to selective breed my darkest fish to see if I could get a truly black angelfish. I was just wondering if anyone else has done anything like this? I apologize for quality of photo, this is the current fish (and Darkest) I am working with. Brian

I'm starting to breed angelfish and I would like to expand what I am doing. I understand culling obvious deformities such as twisted fins or bent spines, but what should I look for with general looks? Is it better to go for fry that have a certain pattern or just one that catches my eye? Also general tips for angelfish breeding would be appreciated (I've watched all the videos of Dean's room).
