After losing Morocco (Betta) I went to my closest LFS and got a Lampeye killifish (Poropanchax normani) and two CPDs (Danio margaritatus). I have never kept this fish, so it will be a learning experience. The CPDs appear to be a pair, they swim together and pretty much say close to each other. One of them has a bent spine but I still wanted to give him a home. They are about 1.3 cm and not quite showing strong colors. The killifish is still very shy, but I am hoping he'll start feeling comfortable soon. Feeding them Hikari First Bites and Repashy, as well as Betta pellets (not at the same time). So far, they don't seem to go for the Repashy but it sank to the bottom of the tank, to be found by happy snails. No names yet, as I wait for them to tell how they would like to be addressed.

I have been breeding CPD’s for over a year and recently had a juvenile that is very transparent. Is this a genetic mutation and can this gene be singled out for breeding? Currently keeping juveniles and adults in a 29 gallon with only shrimp and snails and I don’t have any other fish, so I don’t believe it is a different species and I have added any new plants for over a year, so I don’t believe it’s a hitchhiker. Has anyone else had any experience with this? I will plan to update this as the juvie matures, if it survives. I attached a picture of it eating with its spawn mates, to show color and opaqueness differences.

I have 2 galaxy rasboras that have come down sick. I originally thought it was wasting disease so I've been treating with API General Cure. I am on day 3 of the treatment. I also put 4 tablespoons of aquarium salt into the 10 gallon tank they are in. This morning one of the rasboras also has some white fuzz growing on it. Any ideas as to what else may be the cause besides wasting disease? Should I try another medication or give the General Cure more time to work?
