I bought a package for Hikari Frozen Tubifex Worms at my LFS. I have never fed these yet, but went down a rabbit hole of reading how tubifex worms should not be fed to fish at any cost, as they are rampant with parasites. Hikari is reputable, but I obviously don't want to take the risk, if it indeed exists. Any thoughts?

I'm new to the hobby and am unfamiliar with variety of frozen foods out there - brine shrimp, daphnia, cyclops, bloodworms, etc. Is there a resource/blog article that explains what types of food should be used in which situations or the pros/cons of each? Thanks in advance.

Yes, that's a potted plant. All my plants arrived frozen solid. This has nothing to do with AC. The post office delayed shipping, the plants arrived in my city and were then sent to a different city, then delivered to me and left outside on the ground in 12 degree weather. So my question is: Can I save them? I'm heartbroken.

I picked up a fancy goldfish yesterday from Aquarium Coop and transferred him to my new outdoor, unheated aquarium. I figured 40 F wouldn't be ideal for him, but I was surprised to find him dead/immobile on the bottom of the tank this morning. He looks totally healthy but his operculum didn't appear to be moving so I believe he's a goner😔. Just in case he's still alive, I'm adding a small 50 watt heater to hopefully bump the temp up to 50 to see if he wakes up. I feel really stupid for not anticipating this happening and using a heater to begin with. Can fancy goldfish survive sub 40 temps? Was it just too sudden a change for him to tolerate? Chances he could still be alive?
